CCN Shut Down – News That Alarmed The World, Google Core Update 2019

Google recently released the core updates of 2019 and ensures that one of the top cryptocurrency media sites, CCN, finally shut down at 10th June 2019. After the announcements, it revealed that this began rolling out on Monday, June 3, 2019 and on Saturday June 8th, 2019, it fully rolled out. It took five long days to finish the process because Google has countless servers and data centers, and it consumes profuse amount of time to get this updated.

The data of SEO analyzers shows that due to the immediate decreased visibility of several news websites, including the CCN, recognized that 53.1% traffic has been dropped down on desktop and over 71% on mobile overnight, and as a results it left a no path instead of shutting down the operations.

CCN mentioned that their daily revenue rates is down by 90%, although their visibility is still approx where it was at previous year, and they also cited that they “do not want to downsize the team” as well as “do not want to break the morale of the team”. Consequently, they firmly decided to shut down it, even since they are “a small independent news organization that has never received any outside funding” and “the money made on advertisements was directly funneled back into growing the team”.

Moreover, the outlets of cryptocurrency such as Cointelegraph and Coindesk have also faced fast reducing rates in their visibility by 21.1% and 34.6% correspondingly. Along with this, other new outlets also saw a significant visibility drop downs even they have nothing related with the cryptocurrency news.

On the other hand several other news outlets saw boost in their visibility; it is all thanks to the new Google update. Yet, here was very few changes that have been made, which affects the news outlets that permitted the speculation to fill the void on the wider internet and Google Webmaster Forums that Barry Schwarts from the Search Engine Land discusses-

“Speculation and theory. There is a lot of speculation floating around this drop in Google visibility for The Daily Mail’s website. People are speculating it has to do with the ads, the site speed, the content, the political slant, and so forth.”

Whereas, CCN was formally pursuing the splendid goal and becoming a right source of informing numerous individuals about the benefits of cryptocurrency, by providing more financial and monetary freedom. As a news outlet, they were still tied up to the traditional but old financial world by depending on advertising returns that were allocated through a federal organization, using conventional banks to propel them funds.
